My name is Jordan and I'm 25 years old. My husband and I have been breeding and showing ragdolls since 2020 right after we got married.
Beforehand I bred bred Scottish folds and munchkins. I definitely loved the breeds, but wanted to focus on my dream- show ragdolls which are a much healthier breed. I have 9 years of combined experience raising companion cats.
I work from home as an Airbnb Manager and a full time cat mom. When my husband gets home he helps me with cat duties which includes kissing kittens! He also makes sure all the locks, cameras and devices are working properly. I am very grateful my husband loves raising kitties as much as me.
We recently moved to Sacramento for a home that will accommodate all our kitties. Right now we do not have any children so our cats are our whole world! They bring us both lots of joy, but the cherry on top is the wonderful adopters who become life long friends.
It makes me incredibly happy to see others enjoy our cats as much as us!
The best way to see our family life is through our content on Instagram.
My purpose for breeding starts with my adopters. I want to raise kittens that my families will cherish and adore. I want to make sure you have the best experience possible. In my mind, I achieve this by always being readily available to chat, give direction and post information I find useful for my adopters.
I never want someone adopting from me to feel unsure or intimated to ask me questions. I love talking about cats and my cattery!
With a positive experience in mind, I want to make sure the kitten I am giving you is healthy, strong and resilient. A surprise condition can make for the worst experience. This would make me incredibly sad whenever I hear of a new owner who has to go through an illness. Live animals can be unpredictable. Despite best efforts, sicknesses and hidden traits can occur.
However, that doesn't mean I rely on chance and *hope* a kitten doesn't become sick! Preventative measures' involve full PCR panels on all new incoming cats which testes for parasites & virus. This must be done in order adequately treat illnesses (or retire) well before a cat is bred.
This also means retiring any adult cats that produce issues involving FIP, weakened immune systems, kidney or heart issues among many more.
I do not simply think "It's okay if the [disease] only affects one or two kittens, let's keep breeding these parents."
, Responsible breeding to me means protecting pet owners from heartache, even if comes at a loss.
All my cats and kittens are 100% RAW FED. This is a species appropriate diet! I trust in my kittens health so much that I offer an extensive three year health guarantee. I stand behind my kittens in every way.
I teach my families the benefits of raw and beginning steps!
And lastly, the cherry on top of a great experience and a healthy cat is a wonderful temperament! Temperament is tricky.
Genes can skip generations and socialization can play a factor. It's unpredictable exactly which kitten will end up like the mother or father...
From my experience raising aussies, temperament is largely genetic. Socialization is an added bonus, but without an awesome foundation you can only do so much!
This means I need both parents to have outgoing, loving and the cuddliest temperament possible! British are not known for being cuddly. In fact they are more independent and prefer to come to you on their terms. I have already found that cuddliness runs in some British lines.
My goal is to keep breeding the cuddliest and most sociable, clingy British.
I would never breed a cat that is skittish, aggressive or unable to recover quickly during a stressful event. I want cats that will support my goal and give kittens that make your whole family happy!
My cats are raised in my home, with my husband and guests. I believe that the developmental period (the first few months of a kittens life) paves the way to how the cat will behave.
We our cats have free access to several bedrooms, living room, dining room and all bathrooms. I do not believe in caging. The only time a cat will be kept in a pen is during initial quarantine and testing, if they have kittens and become territorial or if a cat needs litter habit retraining. Male cats have dedicated rooms.
My husband and I enjoy having our cats interact with us! Not only would we not be able to see temperament well if they were caged, but also their quality of life is greatly affected.
My kittens are exposed to household noises, different people, car rides, daycare visits and our other cats to ensure they will have the best stress tolerance ever!
. I live & breathe cats, quite literally! My cats are our #1 priority each and everyday.
British cats are very gentle and sweet natured. They also tend to be more vocal when picked up, so I especially work on holding them as much as possible.

My British litters are born in my bedroom. This allows my husband and I to have frequent contact and expose them with daily noises.
During week 1: Kittens are just born and fragile. I make sure they have plenty of heat, clean linens and I touch their paws and bellies for short periods of time. I also supplement their nursing with Breeder's edge and a miracle nipple.
I make sure they are getting fed and monitor their health closely. This is round the clock checking!
During week 2: Kittens have doubled, sometimes tripled in size. Because the kittens start to meow a lot when holding them, I make sure to cup them tight.
I make sure to keep sessions super short, but frequent to build a positive experience. I notice the kittens start to relax and go back to sleep even while I am holding them.

I continue to gently touch their paws, belly and ears. And lots and lots of kisses...
For week 3: I start to hold kittens for longer periods time, even taking them to cuddle on the couch or bed. I also will take short walks around the house with a kitten in tow.
At this time I also vacuum around the kittens as well as playing YouTube sound exposure videos on low volume. These activities help a kitten become unfazed by day

I make sure kittens are comfortable during this process and not in distress in anyway as that could have a negative effect on a kitten's mental health.
During week 4: I take a few minutes a day with a q-tip and practice "brushing teeth", the sound of the blow dryer, practice nail clipping and practice running a comb through their backside.
I continue to touch paw pads, belly's and ears to get every kitten used to normal handling. I find much greater success in starting this handling process early.
During week 5-6: Kittens have been moved to a larger play area. They are now learning to litter box train. I play YouTube sound exposure videos a bit louder all throughout the day while my husband is at work and I have head phones on :D.

While this may take my normal cleaning 10x longer, the value of a young British kitten being so comfortable with being carried is very important to me!
At this time I also make friends with my kittens. This means not always picking them up or petting them whenever, but asking 'permission'. My kittens instantly adore me that much more!

At this age I allow visitors such as friends and family to come hold and socialize my kittens. Kittens are being played with, photographed, held and cuddled everyday!
During 8-12 weeks: Kittens visit 1-2 daycares of children ages 3-5 owned by a close friend. Here they are exposed to lots of smells, sounds and a variety of supervised children holding them.
Kittens at this age can now play during Kitten Cuddle Bookings. I make sure every kitten is handled safely and does not become overly stressed.

During this time they sleep in the bed with my husband and I. I absolutely love this age where I can wake up to purring faces. I am always respectful of my kittens, while handling them often.
They learn to be 'manhandled' in a safe & positive way! My the time they go home to you, they are used to being carried and smothered.
From 12-14 weeks: Kittens have now been spayed/neutered and are ready to go to their new homes. They may have been bathed 1-2 times already, but I also practice calm baths by using a lickable cat treat.

Kittens are also used to the blow dryer and a pet dryer box. Kittens are also used to having their nails clipped, their bodies brushed and faux teeth brushing. This is right when the kittens leave me and I am terribly sad without my cuddle buddies!!
The nursery room is where kittens are born and live from 0 to 8 weeks.
Each nursing pop up pen has a mom & kittens with their own litter boxes, heating pad, food & water. I make sure to cover the pen with towels and washable pee pads to keep the litter warm and free from draft.
The pop up pens keep mom calm and babies safe. Mom may become territorial and try to move her babies to weird spots. Mom still has break times throughout the day!
Once kittens start walking and need to start litter box training their pop up pens are replaced with acrylic play pens.
This is my kitten pen for ages 4-8 weeks. Each litter is separated with their mom and housed in an Amazon acrylic play pen. Each mom has access to come and go as she pleases. Kittens learn to litter box train!
I use washable peepads and flushable cat litter for training kittens. Once kittens are 5-6 weeks I add in toys and scratchers.
Everyday I spend atleast 30 mins-1 hour per litter handling and socializing every kitten. I do have family & friends come multiple times a week to hold them.
I especially love training the kittens to come to me using Churhu treats. This is one of my favorite tasks as it teaches the kittens it’s okay to climb on me and a feel safe around a human.
Every one to two days I change bedding, scoop litter, sanitize toys, bathe messy kittens and clean up food from raw feeding (it can get messy!). Once kittens reach 8 weeks they are introduced to petkit litterbots and allowed supervised time outside the pen.
Each robot is on kitten safety mode (means I use my app to manually rotate) untill kittens are 10+ weeks of age. All kittens go home having used solely the litter robot.
My living room is multi functional. It is dedicated so queens and teenage kitties can roam about freely. They have automatic litter boxs, water fountains and their feeding stations here. They also have multiple cat trees, cat shelves & sleeping spots. I love this set up since my husband and I are able to spend lots time with each cat & kitten.
Every week I change Petkit litter waste bin and sanitize surfaces with Purell. I also spend 30 minutes preparing their raw meat for dinner.
Twice a week I steam mop floors, change water fountains and clip everyone's nails. I also clean cat trees, my couch and wash pillows regularly.
